Artificial Grass of Southern California and Nevada Go Green with Artificial Grass

Frequently Asked Questions

What is artificial grass?
  • An artificial surface that resembles real grass. It can be made to resemble many varieties of real grass out there like: St. Augustine, Bermuda, Marathon, Kentucky Blue Grass, and many others.
What are the prices?
  • Prices range from $7 - 12 per sq.ft. fully installed depending which product you choose.
Why is artificial grass more expensive than natural sod?
  • Because it is a manufactured product which carries a warranty and lasts for a very long time
What are the benefits?
  • Very low maintenance (no mowing, weeding, or watering)
  • Always green and always beautiful
  • Great in places where natural sod cannot grow
  • No allergies
Does the long term effect of the sun harm the turf grass or make it fade in color?
  • No, our fibers have a UV (ultra-violet) protection coating and can withstand the damaging affects of sun, heat, wind, snow and ice. Technically, the color will fade two Pantone colors over a ten-year period, but it's really not visually noticeable to the eye.
What is the life expectancy of an artificial grass surface?
  • The turf comes with a limited 10 year warranty: actual life expectancy is 15-20 years.
What type of maintenance should I expect?
  • An occasional brooming is recommended but not necessary. This will help keep the blades healthy. Pick up leaves and twigs and other debris that may have fallen on the surface.
  • If using a leaf blower just keep nozzle away from being too close to the surface and the rubber infill will not blow away with debris.
What about pets?

  • Urine is not a problem. It will just pass through and evaporate or drain into the ground. Or you can wash it out with water.
  • Pets will not harm the turf. Initially, pets will try to scratch and sniff it but they will love it after only a few minutes.
  • Of course you will still have to pick up after your pets.
Can it be installed over my existing lawn?
  • The existing sod must first be removed. A fine layer of crushed rock is laid down, smoothed and compacted before the turf is installed.

What about drainage?
  • The drainage is very similar to natural grass. The turf backing has many perforated holes allowing for water to drain through the turf.
